The attention to detail throughout the property is fantastic! the lodge was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. the homemade cakes and fresh flowers on arrival were a lovely touch. We especially loved the beautiful location of the lodge, nestled away from other lodges, with a summer house on a deck overlooking the water.
It's hard to find anything to dislike about our stay. the only downside was having to leave this wonderful place.

Spotless, comfy lodge with friendly hosts. Homemade cakes and fresh flowers. Great recommendations for family activities and dog walks. Can't wait to return in June for deck or riverside hut relaxation.

The value for money was excellent and the room was spacious and comfortable. The location was convenient and the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive.
The only thing that could have made breakfast better was more variety in the food options.

I stayed at this fantastic lodge for a running festival and was blown away by the hospitality of the hosts. The lodge was spotlessly clean, beds super comfortable, and the complimentary bottle of prosecco was a pleasant surprise. The summer house overlooking the water was a beautiful bonus. Shirley and Laura go above and beyond to ensure guests have everything they need, including bath salts after my half marathon. Cannot rate highly enough.
Would recommend this hotel.

Bear Lodge was an absolute gem! We got very nice value for our money with a spotlessly clean and cozy room. The location was peaceful and the staff, Laura and Shirley, were friendly, attentive, and had thought of everything we could possibly need.
The breakfast menu could be improved with a wider selection of options.

The location of this lodge is absolutely beautiful. Situated in a quiet area surrounded by woodland, it provides a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere for a getaway. the lodge itself is immaculate and extremely comfortable, with everything you need for a relaxing break. the hosts have thought of everything, with Sky TV and good wifi for entertainment, and even a summer hut by the river where you can relax and enjoy the scenery. It truly is a great place to unwind and enjoy nature.
It would have been even better if there was a gate on the veranda, especially for those with children and dogs.
